My blog is dedicated to all the parents who have been children themselves and are parents today. I also want to touch upon all the humans who have not reached parenting yet!

bondage
I was watching "Imitation Games " yesterday. The movie is about a great mathematician who saves 14 million people in the world war by breaking the message code of German's. The mathematician turns out to be homosexual and is persecuted for it. The fact that the movie was based on true story, saddened me at the pettiness of humanity, how can we negate all man's doing on his sexual pleasure. Is this such an important part of a person that it can encompass all his doing.

My Fortune
What
makes us discontented with our condition is the absurdly exaggerated idea we
have of the happiness of others. French Proverb
Isn't it so true! We are not so much miserable with our misfortune as we are with
fortune of others. But then that’s what makes us human. We are so engrossed
with others life that sometimes we forget to live our own. We see a person
lesser prettier/ handsome than us we are so pleased, we see a person worst dressed
than us in the party we do not miss a chance to ridicule him, we need a
reassurance by seeing a less fortunate to realise our fortune. Why?
I
know no man is island but that does not justify our behaviour. We need to rise
above this mental segregation of people and look for our happiness in what we
have and not in what others do not have.

Nepal-Lesson We are Not Learning
The devastation is so extreme!
The common man stands at loss, who has not even been part of all those decisions where laws must have been violated in favour of profit. The nature has decided to be relentless when it has realised that so is man. But in this game the looser is the one who had nothing harm in the first place except may be not revolted.

Journey or Destiny
Happiness is a journey... not a destination. Ben
Sweetland
When I shall get it I shall be happy
and as soon as I get it I realise either that it is not enough or it is not
what I actually perceived it to be. So I am again at zero level of happiness. I
again search for a new avenue to make me happy. The search is endless.
So instead if we enjoy the journey to
our epitome of happiness there are chances that we can be happy for longer
period of time.

Tomorrow’s another day
These
lines are from Sydney Sheldon’s,”Tell Me Your Dreams”.
Sandra
studied her husband’s troubled face. “Did Mr. Kincaid say anything about the
partnership, David?”
He
shook his head. “No.”
Sandra said brightly, “He will. Tomorrow’s another day.”
This is what keeps us all going isn’t
it. This faith that there will be change of scenario tomorrow, this hope that
there will be light at the end of tunnel keeps us facing the challenges that
have power to break us. This is what life is all about.
This is the biggest distress mantra
too!
Because there are somethings going on
in every-bodies life which require the support of this thought.

My Life's Purpose
The purpose of our lives is to be happy. Dalai Lama
Is it because of others?
Or is it because of our reaction to others?
I am unhappy because my ego which I value a
lot is hurt by others, isn’t it?
Now I cannot control the behavior of other
but I can always control my reaction to it.
So next time when some action or words by
other seems to dampen your happiness, change your reaction to it. Do not let
anybody take away your purpose of life.

Now or Never
The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.
Carlos Castaneda
Is it so? I feel we use more energy to be miserable. We do not let ourselves enjoy anything because we scare ourselves in believing that every good will be followed by worst and we miss our chance of enjoying the good.
Try some day to just enjoy the moment and let the , " Doubting Tom ", take a day off!

Silence
I observed a very interesting phenomena lately, that silence is very peaceful and soothing. Due to changes in my life recently I am in my own company most of the time and trust me it is fun. I do things my way. I suddenly realised I am not an extrovert but an introvert.
In fact all of us need to be introvert for some time. It gives us chance to be with our selves. It also is a good opportunity to align to the almighty and realise the strength He gives us.
Try sometimes!

Did You All Miss Me?
Well I missed you all. I felt a part of me was away but the life was on a roll a coaster ride so needed some time to set it in order. So I am back with lot of thoughts to share. I had a near miracle experience in life where I saw many relations unfold and present them selves in new dimension. I learnt meaning of "Each one for Self ".
It is a hard truth of life but then that is the beauty of life, it shows you new paths and directions to teach you newer lessons.

I am the JUDGE
Paulo Coelho tweeted ,"It is so easy, yet so few can distance themselves from judging others."
It is such a simple truth about all of us. We are always assessing whom ever we meet. We will first assess on the basis of looks then clothes then the place they belong to ... . The list is endless.
I learnt the flaw of this habit at a very young age. At that time I was only 23 years old and so full of myself and my intelligence in judging others. Here I was waiting for the bus at a deserted bus stop with only another young lady for company. All this while I had made my assessment of the young lady on the basis of her very simple clothes and even simpler looks. I had rejected her as a commoner who according to me was certainly below my level of social status and of course certainly below my level of educational status. So as the destiny will have it I was in for a big lesson. The girl confirmed with me the bus number that could drop her at the same place as I was going. When I told her that I was waiting for the same bus to go to the same place, she asked me directions to a particular temple in the vicinity which she wanted to visit as she wanted to sit there to decide which of the two courses she should take on in her masters as she had got into two most prestigious courses in IIT. I was embarrassed at all what I had assumed about her. But as a good student I learnt the lesson of avoiding to judge and wait patiently to draw right results.

My happiness My Business
"Happiness? That's nothing more than a good health and a poor memory.", as said by Albert Schweitzer
A very true and potent statement. you must realise it is most of the times the happenings of our past that haunt us. It is not that present is free of worries or for that matter, we have realised the futility of worrying about future,no. But past happenings have their good share in our miseries so poor memory will help us to get rid of that baggage at least.
So let us be little forgetful and choosy. Pack in your basket of memories with good thoughts and happy memories. Discard all those unhappy thoughts which will only add burden to your heart.Another important ingredient for happiness as suggested by Albert is health. Health means self, so you see both the ingredients are within your control, so your happiness is within your control. So let nothing stop you from being happy.

Am I There yet?
We are always running out of time to do things we want to do. We have endless number of excuses for not doing them in spite of the fact that we sincerely want to do them.
Who are we fooling?
We need to get strict with ourselves in order to achieve what we want to achieve to improve ourselves. It is our obligation to our inner self to take us to highest order of achievement in the field we have chosen for ourselves. The only and most important thing to mind is that we do not step on any bodies feet let alone head.
So let us stretch ourselves to extremes.

Sands of Time or Timelessness
Plato said ,"Practice Dying".
Some say,"Live Fullest".
Are these two sides of the same coin?
Yes!
To practice dying means we are assuming that there is no tomorrow so all what we are doing today needs to be in such a shape that somebody else can benefit from it tomorrow even if we are not around. This means we should make most of today. Now to make most of today does not mean to work endlessly. It means not to postpone things to tomorrow, especially those which can give pleasure to others and self.
The sands of time is slipping out of our hand every moment so each moment is important. We only realise the importance of these tiny moments when we are sitting at the red light and waiting it to be green. We are so restless in those few seconds and are so upset at the time lost, without ever realising the loss of those endless hours when we are busy thinking wistfully about our past or planning vehemently about our future. These hours are wasted as we are able to do nothing about the either, however hard we try.

Walk In to Walk Out
The French Mathematician, Blaise Pascal wrote,"All man's miseries derive from not being able to sit quietly in a room alone."
I feel ability to sit alone is not the biggest challenge, the bigger challenge is to be able to accept that in spite of so many known and unknown faces around you, you are technically alone in this world!
The acceptance of this loneliness with grace and not getting upset over it is the sign of maturity. As soonn as this acceptance comes in what Blaise suggests happens with out effort. Because to turn inwards towards your inner self will only happen when you shut the doors outside.
Now before you assume that we can only get into meditation state when we forsake the world, let me rephrase my suggestion. I feel we need to get into meditation mode first and the realisation of isolation in crowd will follow naturally. The more closer you will get to your inner self more with drawn you will be from the outer world. Again don't jump guns, when I say with drawn I mean you will have the strength to pass through pains and pleasures of daily life without an issue.

Poorly Rich
God has a unique sense of humor which is very visible in his creation, that is us.
I know of this interesting creature who has been bestowed with best of world's riches. He has all a person can ask for in terms of good life. He has the luxury of buying anything he puts his heart on. But then where is the twist in the tail?
The twist in the tale is another gift that God has given him. The gift of thriftiness.
And a very potent gift!
He cannot spend a penny without being sad about it. He even cannot spend on himself so spending on others is beyond question. On the other hand his father is a typical rich fellow who spends lavishly. This habit of his father is painful for this little fellow that he stoops to the level of removing some notes from the pile his father would keep as tip after a hearty lunch at five star.
I can give endless examples to prove his thriftiness but I am more keen to discuss the phenomenon behind this set up. It seems as if God was forced to give him this luxurious life style much against His wish, so to ensure that it is a win-win situation for God, He put this small thought of thriftiness inside this little fellow, so that in spite of all his riches he has no pleasure in spending that money. So in totality he is poorer than the poorest as even a poor fellow is able to extract pleasure by spending what ever meager he has.

Am I better off?
Nothing prevents happiness like the memory of happiness. - Andre Gide
Am I unhappy today because I am not as happy as I was in past. Isn't it a funny tongue twister sentence with no clear meaning.
But that is the fact of life. our past happiness always looms over our present happiness. In fact the past happiness prevents present happiness and cycle is continuous vicious circle. We have this innate knack to relentlessly search in our past to find a situation at least when we were better off than present.
And what does this discovery do?
Yes , it makes our present worst.
So learn to forget past, do not open compare chart every time you have something to rejoice and always be happy at every smallest chance that life gives you.

Accept or Revolt
Happiness can exist only in acceptance. As quoted by George Orwell.
Acceptance of what?
What is the level or degree of acceptance?
Is it right to accept always?
Yes most disturbing questions.
Is my happiness dependent on my acceptance of all imperfections of my life?
If so then how to decide how much should I accept?
And by accepting certain aspects of my life am I not paying a very big price for happiness?
Is this what is true happiness?
For once I have no answers but more questions.

My Happiness My Responsibility
Aristotle quoted,"Happiness belongs to the self-sufficient ".
I can only interpret this in one way, that my happiness is totally dependent on me. I am responsible for my smile and I can take full care of maintaining it. The only way this is possible is if I am always able to the sliver of light in the darkest of times. Tough but not impossible! And what makes it possible is the relentless faith of humanity in God that made humanity survive world wars and holocaust.

Smile and Remember
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. by Dr. Seuss
I am overwhelmed by this statement. It is a total transition from what we tend to do normally. We are always sad when we recall good time, because we miss it. But we have never got down to our knees and thanked God for the wonderful memories we have because of the good time we had experienced.
These memories are not to sadden us but to provide us courage to pass through the tough time.
And they are also a constant reminder of the fact that this too shall pass.
There is no need to regret that the good time is no more around, because it was not supposed to happen that way. We cannot be in same phase of life always, either physically or mentally so how can rest of things hold same status, especially time which is most dynamic of all!

Live Life not just Survive
Paulo Coelho tweeted,"People who forgot to live are the ones who fear death."
To live is to explore and enjoy what ever that time throws into your face. When Krishna said do action without worrying about the result some part of that learning also fits here.
We are so scared of failure that we forget to live. We secretly admire all those who have taken up lesser walked path but for our selves we only take up the challenges that are thrown into our faces. We never indulge our selves to dream something different for ourselves, we stop ourselves from getting excited about anything big in life because of the fear of failure.
But what we tend to miss is that life is about living, it is about exploring because life is just a journey which can come abruptly to stop at any time so we need to make most of it.
So next time when you want to do something more in life do not stop yourself but instead support yourself, encourage yourself and have full faith that God Helps Those Who Help Themselves.
So go ahead and take a leap!

How much time do I have?
Do we know for certain about the next moment?
Can we really plan ahead?
Is it going to happen how we perceive it?
So, then why are we not in action to do all the needful asap!
Now before you start running in all possible directions finishing all possible tasks. let me tell you I was not worried about even one of them. I was thinking about hugging the one you want to hug, walking in the woods with your dearest partner, taking out time to play with your little one, saying I Love you to the one waiting for it...
The list is endless so start off with the the most important one that is YOU. Spend time with self , find your needs and interests, do what you want to do. So run off NOW.

May I have?
How many times have you regretted not saying what you want?
You are standing in the bus near a ladies seat which is occupied by a young male and you keep on contemplating whether to ask for a seat or not.
You want to ask for some extra chocolate sauce on your ice cream but stop yourself from doing so.
Have you wondered why?
This is because we do not expect to get it. We are our worst critic! We value ourselves short.
And this is what we do when we sit to pray too. We do not ask what we actually want but what we think we can get.
So next time when you sit to pray ask for the MOON and the STARS will follow.

No one is a Mistake !

We all have a purpose and we all have a role in this world. So do not undermine yourself or any body else thinking that they are useless.
John Milton quoted “He also serves who stands and waits” .
Let us not be too judgmental as to what and how the purpose of a life is planned for a particular human because it is beyond our possible understanding level. But this does not mean we have to patiently wait for the purpose to unfurl in front of us, no we all have to be on tasks to look for our purpose and then work on it.So get cracking as they will say!

Where was I?
Isn't this the question we ask ourselves every few minutes?
Why do we have to do it?
That is because after every few seconds our mind walks away in new direction towards the next worry. In fact I have started to realise that our minds KRA (Key Responsibility Area) is to keep on reminding us what to worry about.
Our mind believes in not giving us any peace of mind. Nice funny sentence isn't it?
But can we get away with putting all the blame on our mind or is it bad training on our part?
Have we trained our mind to stay in present?
No!
In fact we have trained it to go out on regular search in past for instances related to our present. We have trained it to be always thinking about the next steps we have to take place for best results from our present situation. So, our mind is every where except present.
So, from now onwards (Easier said then Done!) stay here!

Speak-What,When,How
Most of the time we get into trouble when we put our foot in our mouth. Well not literally but it is worst because if you do it literally you can only land up with a muscle pull! But because we do it otherwise , we land up in a mess which takes a bigger mess to clean up.
So let us follow a well known mantra of all time:
SPEAK TRUTH: Speaking truth ensures we do not have to stress our memory cells in storing what we have said so our stress level will be low. We might be in trouble when we speak truth but what ever has to happen will be over then and there, we shall not need to carry the burden of being caught.
SPEAK WHEN ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY:Most of the time it is our loose and useless blabbering that gets us into trouble. So reserve this for the company that will take it in right spirit . For the rest of the world maintain silence and speak essential.Tough but doable and will spare us of lot of stress.
SPEAK KINDLY: This should be practiced at all time for the well being of our soul so its is an SOS. Our soul feels good when we bring smile to other human being so do this one for the soul!

Every Action has Equal and Opposite Reaction
Shri Shri Anandamurti
|
Bondage is bondage whether chains are made of gold or iron. The bondage of good actions, is that of gold, and that of bad actions, iron. Both are to be broken off. One has to refrain from bad actions so that iron chains might not be forged; and good actions are to be effected, but offer the golden chains at the feet of God, saying: “I do not desire the fruits of my good actions, I offer them to You.“
This is how saints look at actions performed by humans. They feel all actions whether good or bad carry a baggage with them. The baggage created by a very scientific law that,"Every action has equal and opposite reaction". Hence they not only advice not to do bad actions they even suggest not list good actions under your name.Confusing isn't it?
But if you understand the law of Physics you will understand why such an advice. they just want to ensure that you do not have to be answerable for any deed.Beautiful isn't it.
Beautiful, yes but scary, if all these spiritual leaders are ready to write of good deeds because of the impact they will create then we should be really wary of doing wrong. Isn't it?
Be GOOD and Always DO GOOD

Certain Event
“Is it terminal?” Yes. “So I’m going to die?” Yes, you are, the doctor said. I’m very sorry.
When i read this a thought stuck me.What is so special here? We are all going to die and sooner the better. It is like being promoted to next class!
So there is no big deal in dying, that is certain. Big thing is living. Living your dreams, chasing them right down to end of alley.
So LIVE, do not wait to die.
To put this mathematically to die is a certain event but to live has very low probability!

Eat your ice cream !
We always wait for better times just like we wait for an empty bus ,the same way we wait in life. We wait for right moment, not knowing when that right moment will come and whether that right moment will have that urge that I have today to do this.So do what you want to do without waiting for right time as the best right time is NOW.We let many beautiful moments pass by in this wait, so don't enjoy what is now.
Treat life as ice cream which will melt if not eaten immediately.TRY.

Are you listening?
We are hearing so much today that we have lost the art of listening. As parent, listening is a very important part of parenting, because when you listen to your child with undivided attention you can notice her/his body language. You can judge whether what is being conveyed is the actual message or your child is waiting for you to understand what he/she is not able to speak.
This thought stuck me when I was watching "Stolen" starring Nicolas Cage where he melts gold out of bank. This took me back to the time when while teaching science my mother was telling me the melting temperature of gold. Then she looked at me with that stern look and said," Don't even think of trying out with my bangles". She could hear my thoughts without my saying them out loudly. We need to develop this art of listening as parents, to hear what our child has not even said!
This thought stuck me when I was watching "Stolen" starring Nicolas Cage where he melts gold out of bank. My Time
Management guru Peter Drucker said,'There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all."
We are all stressed out because we feel we have no time for our self.We are depressed by the thought of not being able to do any thing for our dear ones, especially our children. We are guilty of not spending enough time with them.We can take credit of coining the new word"Quality Time" as this is the term that has been born out of recent scenario.
But have we ever wondered where our time is going? Most of us our not even doing much of house work but still are gasping for time. May be we are all guilty of what Peter says.
So, take some time to check out what useless activities can be thrown out of your daily schedule to create space for self.

Gift of Time
The Hand that Gives is the Hand that Gathers
This old age statement holds true in all times. And mind you, we always do not have to think of giving in terms of money only, because though money is an important gift it is not most precious. The most precious is our thought and our time!
Yes! that is the gift we should give to those who have given their everything to us that is our parents and elders. Unfortunately we spend all our waking moment thinking about our children but are not ready to spend a few of these on our parents. Not realising that one day we will be in the same or may be even worse state.
Please do not put any age bar over my statement as this holds true at all times and ages. Each of us at any point of time our ignoring the needs of our elders. So do not assume that I am talking of some oldies, no I am putting this request in front of every child for their parents-age no bar.

Live It
Yesterday we talked about risking the life, today we are talking about living the life.
Can we just live the life on daily basis? Can we just enjoy today without worrying about tomorrow?
Is it possible to accept all hardships of life as experiences and not ponder again and again on the most infamous question,"Why me?".
I personally feel that would be a wonderful way of life. if as parent I do not have to worry about my children's future, if as wife I do not have to worry about my husbands health and most important as human I do not have to worry about my own future!
But then I have got it all wrong! This is not what it says. When you live life as a journey where you are just travelling through a time phase, you have to get into a mode of doing best every moment. This best will be your best, it might not be in the given situation, but it is certainly your best!
And after that no thought has to be spared to it as you are again on the way to live the next moment!
Interesting but tough. Give it a try.I shall from this moment.

Risk It
Andre' Gide said,"One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time."
How many of us are ready for this?
How many of us have the strength to endure it?
Do we have right to take such risks when there are others who are dependent on our stability?
Who decides how much of risk is right?

My father
Thinking of Dr Vasani's fatherly attitude prompted me to write about my own father and other father figures that have been part of my life. Perhaps, some fathers reading these posts might realise their importance.
My father was a very handsome man – I watch today’s Malayalam movies with Mohanlal and Mammootty,
mainly because they are so reminiscent of that handsomeness – looks and
character both well blended together. My
four brothers and my own son are all inheritors of those good looks. (Of course, my mother’s brothers also have a
contribution to make in the looks department)
My father was a very intelligent man who loved reading and
books, movies and drama.
He not only loved reading, he loved to talk about the books
and the stories so that we were compelled to read it too. I still remember the movie MY FAIR LADY. Those were the days of the gramophone and
LP. He not only bought the record of the
movie’s soundtrack but both Shaw’s Pygmalion on which the movie was based
but the print version of the movie
script. And then he would regale us with
his own recitation of ‘The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plane’ or ‘why
can’t a woman be more like a man’. The
latter particularly when my mother was in one of her whimsical moods !!
He was a story teller who narrated every story with a lot of songs and action.
My son has a similar bent of mind – in fact when I visited him I found a copy of ‘Atma Bodha’ very similar to the one in my father’s shelf. (I made it a point to get it from my sister and put it in my son’s cupboard.)
My daughter, though she spent very little time with him, has
a similar habit – watching a movie and then reading the book.
One of my brothers has inherited this art of story telling. A lot of memories of Appa came flooding back when my brother told me about his new serial CODE RED. My mind flashed back to “A few good men” and when I asked him, my brother said that it was his connection for the title too. Well, that too is from my father.
He was the one who nursed me through my chicken pox, the one
who accompanied me to college and then took me out for a snack and movie on
Saturday afternoon’s after college. He
came with me for my first job interview and made sure that I was comfortable at
the work place. He was the one who even
taught me how to wear my sari – my mother always wore hers a few centimeters
above her ankle but he made sure that I did not do that J
He had the same affection and fondness for all his eight children and expressed it unhesitatingly. Yet he never failed to punish us for any
wrong doing either. He lavished the
same attention on each one too.
Dr N V Vasani - a father figure
Dr N V Vasani
“Vidya vinayena shobhite’ – education makes you humble.
A fruit laden tree does not shoot skywards – it only bends
to the earth.
I had only heard of him as a great educationist until I met him before I took up an assignment with a school that
was started by a leading industrial house in Gujarat.
His kind voice, his simplicity and smiling
eyes were the most outstanding features, not to speak of his brilliant mind
that could draw you out to put forth viewpoints and at the same time put you at ease.
For almost three years, I had the good fortune to sit with
him atleast three to four times a year on various interview panels.
That kindness, simplicity and smile were always there to put
every candidate at ease. He ensured that not a single one was awed by his
stature or wealth of knowledge. Each one
left the room with a sense of joy and success. And yet with unerring judgement,
he would spot the right one and guide us.
Truly a father figure.
He had been out of circulation for almost two years due to
failing health. My last glimpse of him
was the beautiful, flower adored photograph only but I will always cherish the
memory of the wise teacher.
RIP, Sir.
Did I do it right ?
That is a constant question in any parents mind.
A recent discussion with my son on ‘retaliation’ brought it
back into mine.
I have always been proud of the fact that he never
retaliated with anger or violence at another child. If someone hit him, he would
come home to ask “Should I hit so and so back ?”
It was the same with his little sister who would strike at
him when she was angry or upset . I
cannot recall one occasion when he hit her back.
So much so, when he had a bicycle, he would keep cycling the
whole day and even tried to teach his sister.
One of the neighbours who had been observing him came back to tell me of
his patience with her – how every time she lost her balance and fell down, she
would howl and hit at him. And how he
would simply pick up the cycle and coax her to learn again.
Today, as an adult
he feels that it is one of the greatest drawbacks in his nature – his lack of
retaliation. When he is hurt, he simply
keeps it to himself and does not hit back at the person concerned.
Did I teach him right ?

Nigeria Red
What are we inviting and why?
Do we not feel the pain of death of fellow human?
How do we justify our action?
Can we be right in being unconcerned with issues that do not trouble our peace?
Are we not all assuming that this cannot happen to us?
Should we not all across world raise our voices of nonacceptance of such large massacre?

Worry Box
Create your worry box and keep your worries there is suggested by many. But is it really possible. Are we able to let go of our worries ? No!
We like to carry them around like a baggage. We stop ourselves from enjoying the pleasure that particular moment gives because we feel we do not deserve it. There are some in fact most of the worries which we cannot do much about. So then why do we hold on to them?
We hold on to them because we feel guilty that if we do not worry enough that means we are not taking on the responsibility we have been given. And this is so true of Parent Class. As parent we feel responsible for everything about our children. And if by chance we become enlightened enough to realise there is as much we can do, we have a set of well meaning relatives who always keep on reminding us what all we should be worrying about!
But trust me there is as much you can do as Parent so let the things flow and this time when you pack as set of worries in worry box do them for good!

Paris Hit
The attack in Paris is a proof of need to wake up to the fact that the danger of losing peace to war is very near and quiet real. We all as responsible citizens of the world need to re access our way of functioning so that we do not take our kids back to the dark world of war.
It has taken a lot of time to recover from the war horrors, why do we want to go there again...
Let us lead the world to peace and harmony not war....

Where is the answer?
Rainer Maria Rilke said,"...have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you cannot live with them. It is the question of experiencing them. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day."
Everyday we traumatize ourselves with the question"WHY ME?". Let us take a lesson from this thought that each of our question is a sapling that will grow at its own pace. As a good gardener we will water it, protect it but not pull it out to check its progress. One day at the right time it will bear fruit.Sunday, 4 January 2015
Busy as Ants
Thoreau said,'It is not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is what are you so busy about?'
We need to prioritize things in our life. Unknowingly we concentrate our energy on the mundane things that are important but not essential. We need to take this decision every hour how we are going to spend the next hour. It is an exercise which we have to remind ourselves to do first few days then it will become our habit.

Motivate My Self
New Year Resolution
Try saying encouraging things to yourself.
Say and mean it.
Mean and believe it.
This year let us pull out the best in ourselves. Let us touch new heights of success in all small things we can think of. Let the doubting Tom rest in peace. Our belief in ourselves can take us places beyond our imagination. Hold on tight to your beliefs, You might slip a few times but do not give up.
So this year the resolution is not a target but a habit which can achieve all possible targets.
